Cooper Industries (NYSE:CBE) announced that it has acquired Novitas, Inc., a Torrance, California-based privately held manufacturer of occupancy sensors, switch packs and accessories.

ASPIRE DESIGN SYSTEM NOMINATED FOR THE 2006 DESIGN AWARD OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF GERMANY
The Cooper Wiring Devices' ASPIRET Design System has been nominated in the field of product design for the 2006 Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany. Awards will be presented next February at the Ambiente Fair in Frankfurt.
