Peachtree City, GA, December 7, 2004 – Cooper Wiring Devices
(CWD) has now completed the move from its traditional
headquarters in Long Island City, New York, to new, expanded
headquarters facilities in Peachtree City, Georgia, it
is announced by Jim Knapik, Vice President of Marketing.
As a major supplier of a diversified line of more than
10,000 electrical wiring device products to industrial,
commercial and residential markets across North America,
CWD is now located in its own building adjacent to Cooper
Lighting’s headquarters.
Knapik also indicated that the new CWD building includes
two exciting new facilities. These are a new 5,000 square
foot CWD product demonstration facility, which showcases
the breadth of the company’s products set in several different
environments; in addition to a new state-of-the-art training
center for customers and CWD sales personnel. This training
facility can accommodate from 40 to 100 people at 40 data
ports and offers the latest audio-visual techniques for
instruction.
“Both new installations will contribute to the overall
marketing capabilities of the organization,” according
to Knapik. He went on to say that expanding these customer
services at the new facilities, “which were purposely
designed to enhance our support for electrical distributors,
contractors and other customers, will place us in the
forefront of electrical product suppliers.”
