LONG ISLAND CITY, N.Y., July 19, 2002 - The Equity Product
Excellence Award for 2001 was presented to Cooper Wiring
Devices recently. A measure of product quality, packaging
and consistent competitive pricing, the award was presented
at the annual meeting of Equity Electrical Associates,
whose 242 independent electrical distributor members across
the country voted for the top electrical manufacturers.
Cooper's score topped all others. Equity Electrical Associates'
members are leading distributors in their own geographic
markets, representing combined sales of more than $4 billion.
According to Dan Potter, Marketing Director of Equity
Electrical Associates, "the Equity Award, based on the
votes of the distributors at-large, underlines the accomplishments
of all Cooper Wiring Devices' employees before the entire
distributor-manufacturer community in the country."
Marketing Vice President James Knapik says, "We appreciate
