Cooper Wiring Devices Introduces Smart Dimmer System With Adjustable See-In-The-Dark Light Level Setting

LONG ISLAND CITY, N.Y., August 5, 2002 - Cooper Wiring Devices has introduced a new line of Smart Dimmers that allow light levels to be adjusted at either master or remote locations before the lights are turned on. Ideal for any location where presetting lighting levels is desired, the Smart Dimmer System features a new See-in-the-Dark?light-level setting. LED indicators on both master and remote devices indicate the illumination level, while microprocessor electronics permit the dimmer control to raise or lower light levels at any station while lights are on or off.

Suitable for both incandescent and magnetic low voltage systems, the new full-range dimmers also provide a 10-second delayed fade-off option and a full-on bypass setting that activates full brightness from the "off" position. Each master dimmer can control up to five remote devices.

The new Smart Dimmers meet all UL 1472 requirements and are provided with extra large mounting straps, mounting screws, wire nuts, and a compatible decorator wallplate. Units are offered in standard white and light almond, with ivory, gray, and black conversion kits available for customization. Special colors are also available.
